Thing 7 and previous posted pics

I'm not completely sure if it's a user error or it's my equipment but uploading the photos and searching for photos took FOREVER on flickr. I did enjoy looking at others photos and I always enjoy sharing my photos (slightly self-absorbed). The flickr sight itself was pretty easy to navigate and when i would end up somewhere that i wasn't intending on it was easy to find my way back. I can see how this would be a beneficial site for when you are teaching specifics in lessons, or want to do a picture walk, etc. I personally really like instagram better, but that may be because I am actually much more familar with it. I wasn't sure if flickr did this or not, but on instagram you can edit photos in such a way that every photo looks like it was professionally taken. You can also hashtag photos and tag other people in photos so that they can be searched and shared. Also this same principle applies to pintrest as well. ALL my best ideas come from pintrest pictures. Once again maybe my love for pintrest is because I'm use to it. I'm willing to give flickr a fair chance to compete.

This part is just a short description of what pics I posted and why:
I chose to post 3 different pictures of my myself, my husband, and my 1.5 year old boy. The picture of the 3 of us in running clothes was taken at our last race, Trot for the Troops. It was our first real race as a family since my husband has come back from deployment. YAY! I have lost about 75lbs since my husband left (135lbs in 1.5 years) and this was the first time I was able to run competitively and I wasn't holding him back. Therefore, this picture depicts a significant moment in my life and my family's life where goals/expectation were met (with much excitement).
The 2nd and 3rd pictures were taken at our army ball we went to 2 weeks ago. This is the first formal event we have attened with the army, it was the first out of the house dancing my husband and I have been able to do since he has been home, and it was the first time I have ever had a dress taken in to fit me!!!! All of these reason made these pics prime candidates for the blog.
